I am trying to set up my Acer a100 tablet. I plugged it in

Thursday 07th of June 2012 / justanswer.com
I am trying to set up my Acer a100 tablet. I plugged it in and let the tablet charge, then pressed the power button. It flashes the Acer logo, then gets stuck on the Android logo (word only, flashing). It will not go past this screen. I've tried the reset button just to get the same screen. HELP, PLEASE!!Already Tried: Reset button... didn't work.Volume up, power, click lock back and forth... gave me an android picture with gears moving inside of it, then turned into an exclamation point and stuck there.

The Acer A100, the industry’s first 7″ Honeycomb tablet, will go on sale today at retail stores across the nation for around $329 (8GB).  It’ll run Android 3.2 (since that has been built for smaller tablets), an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, dual-cameras, and weighs just 0.92lbs.If you ever needed an inexpensive tablet to travel with, play games on, or stay connected while couch surfing, this might be a great option.  We should probably point out that the battery life won’t be stellar though.  According to the press release below, it will see up to 5 hours of steady use, which is not impressing anyone. Can’t deny the size and specs – anyone interested?  Acer Iconia Tab A100 Now Available in North America: Industry’s First 7-inch Android Honeycomb TabletAcer America expands its Acer Iconia™ Tab line of tablets with its first 7-inch tablet – and the industry’s first 7-inch tablet running Android™ 3.2 (Honeycomb) – in the United States and Canada. [HOW TO] HBO Go on Acer A100

Sunday 06th of May 2012 / androidtablets.net
I was forced to use my iPad3 in order to be able to watch HBO Go on a decent-sized screen. For months, I've been trying updates on a variety of my different Android devices, without luck. The latest update (which added ICS phone support) finally works First some screenshots:(Stock, unrooted Acer A100, running official ICS)(HBO Go installed on A100)(Series category of HBO Go on A100)(HBO Go Game of Thrones episodes on A100 Android Tablet)(single Game of Thrones episode view on A100)(Actual playback of HBO Go on A100)Pretty cool huh? Here is what I did:1. installed the latest HBO Go from the Google Play market on my Droid X2. installed Astro File Manager from the Google Play market on the Droid X as well.3. ran the Application Backup of Astro and backed up the HBO Go APK4. copied it over to the Acer A100 and installed it (make sure unknown sources is enabled in the settings)5. started HBO Go, setup my account, and it worked.* I did not try and install it on the Acer A100 directly from the PlayStore. It might work, it might not.* I tried using an HDMI cable, but HBO Go complained that H

acer a100 tablet system update failure

Tuesday 22nd of October 2013 / androidforums.com
I have an Acer A100 tablet that has been moded. My daughter brought it to me and it had the picture of the Android on the screen. I turned it off and back on. When it came back on it gave me a "system update failed" error message. Now I cant do anything with it. I finally got the keyboard working but it wont let me do another system update. When I try to it just tells me "network coverage is currently poor. please move to a location with better coverage to continue". I am standing right by my modem and have a strong signal. Any help would be great. Right now i just get a black screen with access to settings and wi fi ect...
