MP4 video strangeness

Saturday 10th of March 2012 / androidforums.com
Hello all,First post here!I've only been an Android user since Christmas, having received a Kindle Fire as a gift. More recently I've upgraded from a Blackberry to a Samsung Galaxy S Android phone. The problem is this:I've converted some videos to mp4 format for use on my Kindle and Galaxy. Some of them simply won't play on the Samsung, but all of them play on the Kindle. They were all converted using the same video converter and to the same MP4 format. I've tried multiple conversion attempts, and multiple video players on the Samsung, but still no luck on only the same few videos. I don't know if it's because of an Aspect Ratio difference or what. The majority of the videos are 640x480, they play fine. The ones that won't play are of varying aspect ratios, including 1024x768 and 800x600.I'm also trying to find a good media player that will loop individual videos and playlists. Asti Media Player works well on the Samsung, but can't seem to get it for the Kindle.Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!Steel Rat

Asti Media Player

Asti Media Player I was using the Asti media player for playing .mp4's on my Droid Razr M until recently. I loved the app as it would play my media continuously from the folder (it would play from file to file). Or I could have it on shuffle and it would automatically shuffle all media. I believe that a movie I d/l'd was currupt and messed up my SD card as I could not delete the .mp4. I have tried numerous options to fix the card, even tried to reformat it and that would not work either (this is a 64 GB, C10 card). All media is still accessible on this crd, though I still can not delete anything from the card. It acts like it deletes it, then when refreshed, it is all back again........ Anyway, I removed the App, the bought a new card, put the media back on (not the suspected file), and d/l'd the app again (Asti Media Player). Now I have a problem. When I use the player (asti media player), it only plays one file, then stops and I have to select another file to play. It will not do continuous. I am curious if anyone else out here has experience with this player? Or do you know of
