security - How to make sure I have no sms virus?

Wednesday 23rd of November 2011 / android.stackexchange.com
I'm using a non-rooted, non-hacked Samsung GT-I5700 device which runs Android 2.1.Today I've received an MMS from an unknown phone with something which looked like a spam for Mastercard. I've immediately deleted this message, but it seems my phone has automatically sent this same MMS to one of my contacts.According to the Messages app there was no other outgoing SMS/MMS to anyone else.I've installed AVG from the Market and it said that my phone is clean. Still I would like to understand how this incident could happen since I haven't installed anything even remotely suspicious to my phone and didn't even browse the internet except for using Google Translate and Google Maps from time to time.I'd like to know if it is possible for an app to delete or modify the history of sent messages. Can it clean up its tracks? Can it be possible that my phone has sent more than one SMS to my contacts only they aren't visible somehow?I'd also like to know if it is possible to somehow deny outgoing phone calls and messages to apps so this could never happen again.

Delete Market History & More!

Thursday 13th of May 2010 / androidforums.com
If you already know how to do this, I apologize. I just thought I'd let people know there's an app that actually successfully erases the market history! I found it last night when I was trying to find a way to delete my "Frequent Calls" list (Worst thing ever!). It's called HistoryEraser. It successfully erased my entire Market History. It also resets frequent calls, google maps searches, call logs, and browser history. Enjoy.

how to delete history in Nexux 7 maps

HELP - - As I was looking around the Nexus apps. I went into Google Maps. I entered a few addresses to see how it worked. Now I cannot delete the addresses/locations. It is the addresses that are under END POINT: that I cannot delete. So far I have 4 locations that I need to get rid of. Two (2) of them were in there before I opened the box. How do you delete the "destination" locations that are after END POINT on the Google map?

How do I delete locations in the location history?

Monday 20th of May 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have location tracking turned on in Google Maps. For the most part it gets things right. Other times I correct entries to the proper location. However, I'd like to know how to delete entries that Google posts to the history. There is one busy intersection that often takes a long time to get through. Google Maps thinks I stopped at a place of business when I haven't. So it erroneously puts an entry into the location history. I suppose I could just ignore this, but I'm a stickler for neatness and would just like to delete this entry. How can I do that? Also, there are times when I try to correct an entry that Google has guessed wrong I can't find a correct entry in the search. How do I add entries to the search?

Phone is automatically responding to missed calls, can't turn it off. (Xperia Z)

Thursday 29th of August 2013 / droidforums.net
I recently got an Xperia Z after having an iPhone, so I'm new to Android. I was getting something to eat, got a couple texts and a missed call. I did not notice until I got home, but it said I had responded with "I'm eating. I'll call you back later." which is impressive, but incredibly annoying. I don't want automatic texts to be sent out. I looked into call settings and saw "Reject call with message," I clicked it and saw no way to disable it, just a bunch of preset messages (can't delete them or add any). I have not downloaded any apps that affect texting, I have enabled Google Now though, so I think that might be the problem, but it's nowhere in the settings. How can I disable automatic responses to missed calls? While I'm posting, I have a couple other questions about Android, Google Now, and the Xperia Z. First, Google Now thinks I work at Subway because I've been walking there. I do not have a job and can't delete the address, it just tells me to go to the location history dashboard. I read that the location history dashboard is in google maps, so I went int
