Droid Charge - Multiple questions with Samsung Droid Charge

Saturday 26th of May 2012 / everythingandroid.org
Hello, I recently rooted my phone and installed Eclipse 2.0 on my phone. I had quite a few problems with it afterwards:1. Even though I registered the new install with the same google account my paid apps as well as free apps are not getting automatically downloaded to the phone.2. Ever since I did the new install my screen is not automatically adjusting itself in bright sunlight and this is especially noticeable when I am driving around using my google navigation. I have setup options to auto - adjust brightness.3. I sometimes notice that even now my CPU spikes up and my phone appears frozen(though it is lot less frequent with the new install). I was wondering if there is any app that will record a history of which app is using cpu. I don't need an app that tells me which app is using cpu right now because when the phone is frozen I can't use that app anyway but I want an app that will record which app used cpu 5-10 minutes ago and possibly give me a graph.4. With the new eclipse install I got an app called 'Car Home' that automatically starts up when it connects to my car bluetooth

Help! Phone frozen at startup!!!

Sunday 23rd of October 2011 / android.net
[never mind problem fixed!!]I initially tried to flash the Lite'ning ROM but then I got the issue where there is a boot loop with the (S) screen. Afterwards I tried following the instructions on this thread: [READ THIS] Got a Boot Loop? Don't post a New Thread! - xda-developers After this, my phone doesn't even go past the Samsung Galaxy S II screen (black and white) and just freezes there. The only way I can turn it off is to remove the battery pack. Fortunately I can still access recovery and download mode. I've tried redoing the instructions on the thread i mentioned several times and still no go. I have no idea what to do right now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Tab Is Frozen at Boot Screen! Help!

Saturday 15th of December 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
I've tried a few search terms and found nothing, so apologies if I missed an existing answer. Last night, I was going to read a couple of RSS feeds after updating Zinio. When I went to change launcher pages, it did change, but slowly. Then it got stuck. Nothing would work. That's happened occasionally, before. I could either wait awhile and continue on or reboot to solve the problem. I first waited 10 minutes, with no change. Then I rebooted through the moving stars to where the Samsung name has the flashing blue shadow behind it. And it's stuck there. Is this fixable and how?

My phone won't turn on, software update problem.

Wednesday 05th of September 2012 / androidforums.com
Please Help!I have had my Samsung Galaxy S 2 HD LTE for only a month now, and today i ran a software update to Ice Cream Sandwich but it got frozen! and now it won't turn on. It is still charging and that battery sign comes up on the screen when its off. If I try to turn it on, the start up sound effect comes on, but then it gets stuck with "samsung" written on the screen. I tried to do the hard reset to the factory settings, but to no avail! I don't know what else to do.

Screen went black!

Monday 13th of September 2010 / androidforums.com
Came into work this morning, plugged the phone into the Samsung dock, was trying to get to my gmail when the screen went out. Well, I've had some annoyances with the screen timeout, so I thought nothing of it. Tried pushing the power button. Nothing. Took the phone off the dock. Tried again - nothing. The backlight comes on on the capacitive buttons, but the screen is black. Held down the power button - the power off/airplane/silent toggle comes on. Okay, I thought - maybe it's frozen up. Powered down, got the VZW splash screen. Powered back up, got the whole bootup animation. After the VZW splash screen, screen goes black and I'm right back in the same place again. I've also tried this process with removing the battery. Same thing happens. Seems to linger at the Verizon splash screen longer than I remember, too, on bootup. About 20 seconds...So to recap, here I am: The backlight on the capacitive buttons is on (and not dimming, btw). If I hold down power, I get the power off menu. Otherwise, the screen is black, and not responding to any button presses. I'm running Launcher Pro, oth

GT- I9300 Wifi Connection Issues post 4.1.2 JB update

Tuesday 23rd of July 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I got a new S3 just a week ago from Dubai and it worked fine. It was on 4.1.1 firmware and my first smartphone. Then overnight a few days ago it updated to 4.1.2 JB and when I woke, it said my home wifi password was incorrect. I would reenter while "show character" was clicked so I was certain password was correct and it would attempt to connect, fail and temporarily "incorrect password" would come at the bottom of screen in small font and disappear. All other devices, laptops and other phones, had no issues with Wifi. If I stood in front of router, THEN it would connect. Everywhere else it gave "incorrect password" message. After scouring android forums, I realised it was maybe caused by JB 4.1.2 OTA update. So I researched and then downloaded ODIN and after a lot of effort found a tar file for 4.1.1 which I thought might be compatible with my device. I flashed it following instructions on a tutorial. It said pass. But the boot screen was frozen on samsung logo!!! Then I researched some more. Downloaded the CWM via ODIN onto phone. Went into recovery m

Samsung s3 sudden of death?! Recovery mode messed up?!

Friday 01st of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi guys!So Im gonna shortly explain whats happening to my phone, and you all can take your conclusions about what the problem could be.My s3 was working fine until a few hours ago, when me friend called me. When he hung up, my phone was frozen already. No response at all... I held the power button to perform a 'reset', but it is frozen now on the first splash screen. Tried removing battery, everything. After a few searches and few topics (Samsung galaxy S3 frozen on start screen... HELP PLEASE!), got a conclusion that I am another victim of the SUDDEN DEATH SYNDROME that have been affecting many users on UK. However... I dont think I really qualify into this category, since I can turn my phone on, and get into the Recovery mode. Now thats the funny part. My recovery mode seems very messed up.There are many lines of code saying 'E: failed to mount/ E: cant mount/ E:Cant open'etc etc Someone give me some instructions on what to do please! Cheers
