How do you download photos from Samsung Galaxy S2 to Mac

Wednesday 02nd of May 2012 / androidforums.com
Hey thereI was wondering if someone could help please. I am trying to download photos from my Samsung Galaxy s2 to my Mac but with no luck. I have downloaded Kies and when I connect to my phone and try and download the photos it says I have to download Java.I have done this but it still doesn't work. I am unsure what I am doing wrong. Also, if I try and connect my phone via USB (in Kies) it is not recognised as a device.I am not technical at all and have spent hours trying to resolve this. Is there an easy way to get the photos off my phone and onto my Mac? I believe I have followed all the instructions from the computer/phone but it still won't work. I have also contacted my phone provider and Samsung and they cannot help. Surely there is a way???If someone could help either download the photos or get the USB connection to work in Kies it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much guys.

[ROOT GUIDE] Boost Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2

Monday 24th of September 2012 / androidforums.com
Whether you are new to root, or an old hat at it, following these simple steps will get you root access on your device. That means you're going to have access to the file system, system settings, be able to flash custom ROMs, get wifi tethering working, and all that good stuff. I can confirm that this process worked for me and others on the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch running build FH29 of the Samsung software (you can see what build you are on by going to settings and about phone). I nor anyone else where will accept responsibility if your device ends up bricked. That shouldn't happen, but in the event that the stars align and the gods deign your device to be sacrificed, you're going to be SOL (because if you brick by rooting you are technically going to violate your warranty and may not be able to return it). Also, I accept no credit, I'm not worthy, I didn't make odin, kies, the kernel or the su zip -- that was all done by people a lot smarter than I.Before we get started, you are going to need a few things:Download and install Samsung Kies to your PCDownload Odin to your PC

Siyah Kernel for Boost Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2

Friday 25th of October 2013 / androidforums.com
I know this may be a little outdated but I am having a really hard time finding an answer so I thought I would just put it to the experts and see what kind of response I got. I have a Boost Mobile, Samsung Galaxy S2 (SPH-D710BST) Android 4.1.2 AGAT Kernel GB27 v 1.3.0 Build: GC01I am wanting to know if it is compatible with Siyah kernel S2-v6.0beta5 ( SiyahKernel S2-v6.0beta5 | SiyahKernel)I really haven't done much with it yet other than root via rwilco's instructions and the files that I got from his site. I have installed Titanium Backup and removed some of the Bloatware and I have used Triangle Away to remove the triangle from the Boot Screen. So I have two questions:1) Will the Siyah kernel work / be compatible with my phone?2) Since using the Triangle Away, I have no ability to control my screens brightness level, why?

[BOOST MOBILE] Samsung Galaxy S2/Epic Touch 4G

Tuesday 28th of January 2014 / androidforums.com
Hello, I have a very stumping question i'd like to ask the community! I just like to start by saying, I soft-bricked my phone and went on craigslist to find a person to fix it. I ended up spending over two-hundred dollars for a "fix". The guy that did it was already arrested before for stealing and stuff like that. He is very smart in computers and phones, in fact he graduated college for it.Getting onto the story, there was this guy from craigslist who said he could write a custom rom, from Sprint for my Boost Mobile phone. He said that it cost $185 for the code. So anyways, I tried putting a $20 re-boost card onto my phone tonight. The first time I called the Boost Re-Boost number from my phone, it immediately rebooted. Then, I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't turn on. I tried taking the battery and then holding the battery button and then pushing in the power button again. It will start up but if the screen "sleeps", the power button is USELESS. Even if the screen is on I have no way of turning the phone on or off without taking the battery out and putting i
