Nexus One experiencing major problems with sound on phone calls

Thursday 09th of February 2012 / android.net
Device:Nexus OneCarrier:Wind Canada Country / Language: Canada ENOS / Browser / build number (if applicable):Android 2.36 Build grk39fMy husband and I both have Nexus One phones. In the last couple months we have been experiencing an escalating problem with connecting a voice call. On at least 30% of the calls we make and receive, we can hear no sound from the other end OR we can hear them but they can't hear us. I've had to redial calls up to four times to get a connection where we can hear each other. This is happening on all calls, not just ones between my husband and I. Usually it will happen at the beginning of a call but has been known to happen midway through. My carrier has put new sim cards in both phones and has done the usual troubleshooting things like reboots. They say that they have checked their network and it's not a network problem.Needless to say this can be very frustrating, especially when calling some customer service line where you have to be on hold forever, only to find that they can't hear you after 22 minutes of bad muzak. Before I commit to spending a bunch

Some major problems with Nexus 4

Thursday 09th of May 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hey guys! I'm new to this forum, and i know its not the best way to start a post and conversations, but the whole point of joining androidcenteral was to find out what exactly is wrong with my phone.I got my Nexus 4 about 3 and a half month ago, and it has been working perfectly. But a few times during each month, i noticed how the phone started to randomly shut off, and wouldnt turn on until i hold the power button for about 2 minutes. It has happened today again, and im quite sick of it. Better yet, the internet connection has been messed up. When i tried to connect to google, it told the the website was a threat, and wouldn't let me even connect to it. Nor could i access any of my internet running aps. Just as well, i had noticed that in my messages, i cant see what i type to the other person. I type, and send, yet i do not see what i sent, but the receiver does though. And one last thing to sum it all up, i disconnected from my internet server, and now the phone wont even let me connect to it ,and keep s repeating the same message " Authenticating..." or "Problem wi

Major problems with droid 3. Keyboard...

Monday 29th of August 2011 / droidforums.net
Typing on my Droid 3 pull out keyboard has been deteriorating over the last 2-3 weeks. At first I thought it was sloppy keying on my part however I've observed it ain't my fault:-periods have started appearing after words. Not thru double spacing or accidently pressing period key...this is increasing over time...-when the period mysteriously appears...more often than not...the cursor takes off & speeds thru line after line of empty space if I'm not careful. Or instead of taking off the mysterious period acts as tab key & I then face 5 or 6 spaces before the next. Word begins (this. Is example & I didn't correct either so you can see it...-today many times I have to press the space bar twice for it to work & now some letter keys need double press as well...There's more butthiswill do. Typing has. Become hell. I bought the Droid 3for the slide out keyboard. Am I alone with keyboard problems? Can anyone help? Sent from my DROID3 using DroidForums

Major problems with Android 4.1.2 with P3100

Sunday 09th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello everybody, First I want to say that I am new here on this forum, so hello to everyone. Yes you read it right, I ran into some major issues after the recent Android update to version 4.1.2.This update came from Samsung, and basicly rendered my 6 month old tablet useless.Issues I now have is, 1. Tablet will no longer regarge using the USB on my PC or Laptop, however it does when it is connected to the wall socket.2. The screen now always auto rotates, no matter what settings I use. 3. Turning auto updates off now longer has any effect, apps get auto updated anyway, even official Samsung updates.4. Alarm clock stopped working, no matter how I set it up, it just won't sound the alarm at the set up time.5. The popup screen now comes in the top middle down on the screen.6. Screen brightness keeps auto adjusting even when it is set to off in the settings.7. Many other issues I got with widgets and apps, but I guess they now need an update. Samsung is looking into this and I might have to send it to Samsung.I loved my tablet and used it a lot, now it lays on my desk unussed. Anyone

Major trouble with iCraig CLP285 Netbook

Saturday 02nd of November 2013 / androidforums.com
I have a 3 month old iCraig CLP285 Netbook with Android 4.1 that I really like.Suddenly, it will not boot up. Finally got it started and there were major changes: all my email was gone as was data stored in Notebook app. My desktop photo was gone, but when I click on the album that contains the photo I want, it sends me back to the app page. Also, all my photos seem to have uploaded into Dropbox as a Camera Upload, even though I did not do it.And, altho WiFi was turned on - it did not show this on the notification area.Later that night when I tried to use my PC, the DSL had to be rebooted. Never had to do THAT in 5 years! After much reading and about 6 attempts to start the unit, I got in and went to System recovery and did a factory reset. Little Andy had a blue gizmo twirling in his stomach, then it said it was going to reboot. After 15 minutes, screen was still scrolling green through Jelly Bean so I hit reset button on bottom of unit. It went into recovery mode again and now shows Andy on his back with a red triangle and exclamation point. This is a Netbook - not a tablet or phone.
