Get the Nexus 4 now or stick out till the Moto X or Nexus 5

Wednesday 10th of July 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello Android users I have finally saved enough to buy myself a new phone for Uni, and coming from a crappy(now broken) Samsung SGH-c414 feature phone, I was looking at getting a Nexus 4 since I love vanilla android. However there is heaps of rumours about the release of the Nexus 5 & the X Phone combined with the release of Key Lime Pie The question is, should I stick out till the Nexus 5 or X phone, or just grab the Nexus 4 now and make up my mind. Right now I'm surviving on a broken piece of crap, but I worry that it won't carry itself in Uni which begins in September. The other side of me want to avoid the Nexus 4 which uses 2012 hardware and instead wait for the Nexus 5 which would use better hardware. If you guys can share your thoughts, and help me come to a consensus it would be helpful

Nexus 4 vs Nexus 5 vs HTC One (Google Play Version) vs Moto X

Wednesday 24th of July 2013 / androidforums.com
I recently sold my Samsung GS Advance and am now looking for a new android phone. I had been thinking about the Nexus 4, but when I heard that the Nexus 5 was coming out soon, the HTC One being released from Google Play, and the new upcoming Moto X being released, I didn't know what to buy. I currently don't know whether to buy the Nexus 4 or buy the Google HTC One or wait a couple months and buy the Moto X or Nexus 5. Help?

moto x or nexus 5

Sunday 15th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hey guys. My upgrade is on october 1st and I have been eying up the moto x, but I have also been hearing about the new nexus (possibly known as the nexus 5). Should I wait and see? Will it even be worth waiting for? I have heard a possible october 14 launch date. Thanks. *edit* By the way I am on at&t so I don't have to worry about when the customization for the moto x is coming out to other carriers. Posted via Android Central App

Thoughts: Moto X & Nexus 5

Wednesday 06th of November 2013 / androidforums.com
With the release of the Nexus 5, I just had a couple thoughts about each phone and what it means now that Google owns Motorola and are working together ( in some capacity). My initial thought is this: How much did the Nexus 5 shape the overall design, specs, and release of the Moto X? Or do you feel like the Moto X is exactly the phone they (Motorola) wanted to make? I can understand why Moto X went in the direction they did with the phone. They avoided the spec war, and wanted to give the user a great experience. By downgrading the specs, they were able to achieve better battery life and keep costs down by not breaking the bank on a 1080p display and other expensive internals. I am not saying what they did is wrong, because they have given us a very nice phone. The other side of me is always left wondering however. Like was this phone given limitations from the start? Did Motorola make this phone this way without stepping on the heals of the Nexus 5? If that is true, it leaves me this bad taste in my mouth of what could have been? What if the device could have been more high end fla

Specs Comparison of Moto G, Moto X and Nexus 5

Wednesday 13th of November 2013 / droidforums.net
Since these three devices are the current pinnacle of customization and are designed with the tinkerers/modders in mind, we thought it would be worthwhile to offer a comparison between the new Motorola Moto G, the Motorola Moto X and the Google Nexus 5. With a $180 off-contract price, the new Moto G could be worth grabbing simply as a backup, a secondary mod testing device, or any number of creative uses. Because of this it could give the Nexus 5 a run for its money. Of course, this also depends on how easy it is to unlock the bootloader for the Moto G. The Nexus 5 is already built to be super-friendly to the tweakers of the world while Motorola is not so much. Still... knowing our developer community, the Moto G will probably be ready for the same treatment in short order. Here's the primary spec comparison:What do you guys think of the new Moto G compared to these other devices? At this price it is very tempting...

QUESTION : Moto X or Nexus 5???

Friday 15th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Current Verizon customer running month to month on my account. Been with them for ages (cannot beat the coverage). I CANNOT seem to decide between the Moto X and Nexus 5. I know this is asking for everyone's personal opinions but I'm trying to figure where I could/would lose (if anywhere) choosing one over the other. I am following this forum everyday and keep up with continuous pod casts and articles from AC as well. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Thinking about ordering Moto X but not sure

Monday 17th of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I am going to be ordering either the Moto X or Nexus 5 in the next day or two. I am currently on Sprint but my contract is up in May and I will be switching carriers. I have been using an old Samsung Instinct as my G3 stopped working. At this point, I want an unlocked phone and am going back and forth between the Moto X and Nexus 5. I have been reading many threads in the forums and am still unsure. With the $70.00 discount for the Moto X, the prices are fairly comparable. I am basically looking for any thoughts on this. I do not plan on rooting my phone and use it mainly for internet, camera and music. Any thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Moto x vs nexus 5

Tuesday 05th of August 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hey everyone. Just a quick question, my HTC one died on me the other day and I need a new phone. I am looking to buy the moto x or nexus 5 ( I'd like the one plus one, but I can't get an invite) I was wondering which phone I should get, I prefer the nexus 5, but I think the moto x has better battery life. I'm going to college in a couple weeks so I can't wait for the new moto x or nexus. Any thoughts? Thanks.
