Mirroring screen to Roku or TV

Tuesday 22nd of January 2013 / androidforums.com
Anyone know of an Apple airplay equivalent for android to mirror the phone screen to a Roku box or TV? Some apps like Twonky Beam or Juice work for beaming videos stored on the phone to the Roku. But I want to be able to mirror whatever is on the phone screen, like be able to watch a concert from Concert Vault on the phone and beam it to the Roku or TV. It looks like HTC has the HTC Media Link HD that does something like this. Anything for Motorola?

Sunday 30th of October 2011 / droidforums.net
I just upgraded to the bionic two days ago from the first droid and need a little help please. I want to stream from my phone to the tv, the tv is not wifi, but my blu-ray theater system is. The tv is an insigna ns-32e570a11 and the theater system is a sony BDVE780W. I was trying to use the imediashare app do stream from the phone to the tv, but I get stuck at the screen that says "player buffering". the app works fine when i just play the video on the phone. wish to be able to share the photos on my phone as well on the tv. Is there a better app or something I am doing wrong? Thanks

Stream android screen onto TV?

Wednesday 28th of December 2011 / androidforums.com
I'm looking to get the NBA league pass for Android - it's the cheapest (legal) option to watch non-over the air live NBA games comparing to streaming it to PC or the NBA TV package. I'm looking for a way to stream it from my Android screen to the TV, but I have a Droid 2 and it doesn't have a TV out.Things to consider: I have a fairly new TV with all the right jacks, but no wifi / bluetooth abilities. My TV is plugged into my laptop as a "monitor". If I can stream the phone's screen to my laptop, I should be able to get it onto my TV.Can anyone help with this?Thanks,--Paul.

'Forcing' HD output when connecting phone to TV?

Monday 10th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
After a lot of research I think my problems seems to be related to the software on my Galaxy Nexus, hopefully you guys can help: I bought an MHL to HDMI cable to hook up my Galaxy Nexus to my 43' HDTV (Samsung as well). Everything is plug & play so as soon as it's connected, the screen will show up on my TV just fine. Here is the problem I have: The picture on the TV is definitely not HD, more like SD! I checked apps like Netflix or HBO GO but while they stream in HD if I hook up my laptop to my TV, the quality is poor compared to when I use my phone. Here is the puzzler: When I specifically select an 1080p trailer in youtube, it DOES DISPLAY it in HD! So it looks like it's not the cable or the TV (I tried other TV's as well), it seems to be a software limitation. Now, I spoke with Netflix and made sure that my streaming is set to the highest possible quality - which works on all my other devices (laptop connected to TV, Logitech Revue connected to TV) so my guess is that Android somehow limits the picture quality (maybe because the phone has a small screen?). The fact that Yout
