Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE Android 4.1.2 update package emerges

Monday 03rd of December 2012 / androidcentral.com
Samsung has been hard at work preparing Android 4.1.2 updates for a number of its Galaxy smartphones, and it seems the first device to get the upgrade will be the international 4GLTE version of the Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7105). That's the version that supports LTE on Euro-friendly 800, 1800 and 2600 MHz bands, not to be confused with the 3G/HSPA-only version we reviewed back in October.Today's firmware package comes via unofficial Samsung update archive Samsung-Updates.com, which shows it has the build numberN7105XXDLK7. The version available right now has Vodafone South Africa branding, but that shouldn't stop it working on other carriers' Note 2 LTE devices, assuming they carry the model number GT-N7105.We imagine we'll begin to see Android 4.1.2 rolling out over-the-air for various Samsung devices soon. Earlier rumors had suggested the first Samsung 4.1.2 updates were due to begin in December.Android 4.1.2 is a minor update to the OS, introduced in October, shortly before Android 4.2 hit. Aside from the usual bug fixes and tweaks, the most visible changes include

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 received Android 4.1.2 update in Canada with Multi Window support

Tuesday 15th of January 2013 / android.gs
The Android 4.1.2 update has been released a while back for the Galaxy Note 2 around the world, except Canada. Well today it seems to be their lucky day, as Samsung has just announced the update, which should be rolling out right now.Unfortunately it’s pretty unclear which carriers will push the update right now, being known that they are the ones guilty for delaying the updates every time. This update to Android 4.1.2 brings all the goodies available to the other users, including Multi View.Multi View allows you to open two apps at the same time in split-screen, which can prove to be really useful sometimes. And if two apps aren’t enough for you, you can even use Pop-up Video along with Multi Window, which actually makes 3 open apps at the same time. The Android 4.1.2 update will also allow you to configure your notification toggles and also adds a new Driving Mode toggle. Personally I find this very useful, because there were way too many toggles and I always had to browse through them to find the ones I really need. And there are only 5 I ever use ( WiFi, GPS, Sound, S

This is an easy to follow guide and you shouldn’t have any problems with completing it. If you want to finish the root without any problems, then you will also need to read the preparation guidelines below. How to Update Galaxy Note 2 N7100 with 4.1 Jelly Bean Omega Custom ROM

Friday 05th of October 2012 / android.gs
As I have promised you when the root procedure for the Galaxy Note 2 was first leaked, I will show you how to manually update your new phablet with the first released custom ROM firmware. Of course, this update has been developed especially for the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2, so the Jelly Bean Omega software will work perfectly on your device. I know that the handset isn’t yet available through all the important markets, but as soon as you manage to buy the tablet, you will also be able to upgrade its system. The Omega update was developed and is being offered by those of xda-developers therefore we have them to thanks for the present step by step guide. Galaxy Note 2 LTE Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update gets leaked

Monday 03rd of December 2012 / androidauthority.com
The Galaxy Note 2 was recently launched with Jelly Bean running under the hood, but that doesn’t mean owners aren’t waiting for a future firmware update that would bring the latest Android OS version on to their beloved phablet. But the Galaxy Note 2 will not make the jump directly from Android 4.1.1 to Android 4.2. Instead, an Android 4.1.2 update is also in the works.Samsung Updates has recently listed an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version (firmware version N7105XXDLK7) for the Galaxy Note 2 LTE (model number GT-N7105).Considering that we keep seeing Jelly Bean test firmware versions get leaked on a regular basis for a variety of Galaxy devices including the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy S2 or the Galaxy Note, we wouldn’t be surprised to either see more Galaxy Note 2 Jelly Bean unofficial ROMs get leaked or have the official Android 4.1.2 released in the very near future.Either way, we’re going to keep you updated on following Jelly Bean leaks and rollouts for Samsung’s Galaxy flagship devices, but also from a variety of other devices eligible for the upgrade from its competitors, s
