How to: Sync OS X 10.8 Notes with your Android device

Sunday 12th of August 2012 / androidcentral.com
While we're all about the little green robot in this part of the Mobile Nations, when it comes to computers there are a good few of you out there rocking an Apple desktop or laptop. The latest incarnation of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion -- check out our sister site iMore if you haven't already -- brings a number of iOS flavored additions to the desktop environment. Using iCloud, new apps such as reminders and notes can sync with an iOS device so you have all of your stuff, all of the time. But, what if you use an Android phone or tablet, and a Mac? Can you get some everything everywhere syncing too? Of a fashion, yes.The stock calendar, contacts and mail apps built into Mountain Lion will still continue to sync your Google stored information to your desktop. No issues there. But what about Notes? Despite having possibly the worst font ever put onto a computer screen, the stock Notes app is pretty handy. It's always there, or not far away at worst, and is as good a way as any of just jotting down some quick points. Everyone has a different preference, but personally I haven&#

Motorola Fixing Sound Issues with the Droid X in Next Update

Monday 09th of August 2010 / talkandroid.com
If you have a Droid X then you may be having issues with your sound notifications. Don’t fret, Motorola has been actively watching their support forums and plans on fixing the issues in the next update. The update should be here around mid September and also will address the Exchange issues that some of you are experiencing. They have not addressed whether this will be a Froyo update to take care of the issues or not, but with the Exchange issue being addressed and the Droid 2 releasing soon with 2.2 I would bet they it might be just that. I have seen things like that happen before so that would not surprise me at the least. Have you been experiencing any of the sound or Exchange issues personally? We would love to hear what you think. Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) does not recognize Samsung Galaxy S3

Wednesday 19th of September 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
First post here, hoping some of you guys can help out. I've been searching the forums all morning for answers, trying suggestions, but nothing seems to work. I've been an Apple iPhone user since it first came out, but the UI feels old and I was really liking the Galaxy S3. That being said I opted to make the switch yesterday. So far, I'm really enjoying the freshness of the Android OS (this device is currently running Ice Cream Sandwich) and I'm really excited to get configured for daily use (music, good battery, etc.) Last night I was trying to add my music, but discovered that my MacBook Pro (mid-2011, running OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion) doesn't recognize the device when it's plugged in via the USB cable. I did some research trying to see if others had experienced the issue, and they had. I found some recommendations for enabling USB Debugging, which I did. After that I tried using both MCP and TCP (?) options for media and camera, but both of those didn't work either. I also tried those options with Android File Transfer, but it only said that no Android device was connected. I tried

can you tether a Droid X to a ppc mac running OS X 10.5.8?

Sunday 19th of September 2010 / droidforums.net
I ask because I don't think its possible. You need to have an intel chip in order to upgrade to os x 10.6 and without that upgrade the options necessary to tether are not available. If I am wrong and someone has successfully tethered a X to OS X 10.5.8 or later, please share!!! Thank you..
