4.0 ice cream sandwich - "Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped" error after 4.0.4 OTA Upgrade

Tuesday 05th of June 2012 / android.stackexchange.com
This morning, I received the Android 4.0.4 Over The Air upgrade. After my phone rebooted, I saw the following error: Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped. [Report] [OK]If I pressed OK, I would see the same error again. This was, indeed, unfortunate, because it made it impossible to run any application on the phone. How do I fix this?

Launcher Has Stopped ?

Friday 06th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I own a rooted Asus Transformer Prime TF201 tablet with android 4.1.1 (original), and have probably done something stupid... please help! I've looked around for answers, but to tell the truth, am not very experienced and I am very confused... My tablet won't get beyond "Launcher has stopped" error when booting. I can power off and power on (using power + volume buttons). My custom bootloader image comes into view after the ASUS logo -- next I get the "Asus Keyboard is not installed" message with the "Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped" message on top of that. Pressing the OK button just blinks and back to the errors. I *can* get to the tablet settings. I rooted several months ago, installed the custom bootloader graphic, SuperSU, ROM Manager and some other rooted apps. I had flashed cyanogen rom "9" (I think) -- the stable one for Asus -- and was running fine. I thought I had done a nandroid backup (file on SD card). Then I created my problem: I had messed around with the LED settings via ROM Manager, and then <italics>I think</ital

Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped

Saturday 25th of January 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello Everyone, this is my first posting. On powering up my tablet I get a message "Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped" & I get no response to pressing the app button. Hence, I can't get into any of my apps to fix the problem. Please help. I had another app (MyLibrary Lite) stop the same way a few weeks ago but that didn't matter. Does this happen a lot with this tablet? Thanks

process com.google.process.gapps has stopped, launcher has stopped.

Tuesday 17th of June 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
This error message keeps popping up on my daughters Proscan tablet: the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped. I followed the advice of stopping all Google related apps, clearing data, resetting cache, etc, all the way including factory reset,. Now instead of getting the one error message, we also get: Unfortunately Launcher has stopped, along with the tablet no longer recognizing the SD card that's always been used. Any help appreciated.

Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped.

Saturday 26th of July 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello!I have a nextbook 7" tablet running Android 4.0.4. When I booted this morning, I keep getting the error message "Unfortunately, Launcher as stopped." I have done what was suggested on another thread and reset/empty the cache for the Launcher; nothing. Rebooted, but still getting error. Then I reset/emptied cache for the Android System; nothing. Rebooted, and still nothing. I then reset the tablet to factory settings, rebooted, still nothing. Not sure what to do next.Thank you!
