I'm wondering if I flash a custom ROM onto my Samsung Galaxy Nexus device, will it erase all my data (musics, pictures, etc.) due to its memory singularity?

*PLEASE VOTE* Old versions of apps install upon new rom startup

Wednesday 09th of March 2011 / droidforums.net
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ, PLEASE AT LEAST VOTE ABOVE ON WHETHER OR NOT YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE:THE CIRCUMSTANCE:When flashing a new rom, you have the option to allow google to re-download all the apps that you had installed before wiping the data. It will automatically do this if you log into your account on firstboot and you previously had the "backup my data" option checked under Settings > Privacy in your previous rom.THE PROBLEM:The apps that downloaded and installed automatically are old versions of the apps you had installed for no apparent reason. This makes for a less than "fresh" start as you immediately begin with an outdated set up apps that require updating (some apps spefically tell you to uninstall before installing their new versions which adds another layer of trouble for you).MY SITUATION:I'm attempting to make the transition from rubix 1.9.7 to rubix 2.0.1. My intent is to use the market backup system as I feel it's a cleaner method of reinstalling my apps. My excitement of testing a new great rom has disolved into pure unadulterated rage at the

Need help getting a new rom on my G1

Thursday 01st of December 2011 / androidforums.com
I know there's a guide stickied to the forum, but i cant use it since it only references the US and UK models of the G1, and my G1 is german. It is currently running Cyanogenmod (i have no idea which version) and it's incredibly slow and everything keeps crashing.I am a complete beginner when it comes to rooting/flashing new roms to android based devices and i would really appreciate it if someone could help me step by step in flashing my G1 with a lite rom (has to have GPS).

Problem putting a new ROM on my Droid X

Sunday 08th of May 2011 / droidforums.net
Ok, so I Tried putting a new ROM on my phone and I think I did something wrong. I was using the ROM Manager app from the market to put on a new ROM, the current ROM I had was Darkslide. So I thought everything was going fine but when I got done from flashing the ROM and supposedly putting the new ROM on everything went back to stock but it still seemed to have Darkslide on it. So I went to re download and try again but I noticed a lot of apps had been I guess turned off, one of them being the market. So I don't really know what to do.I want to unroot my phone and just go back to stock to be safe but I don't really know how to do it without using the market.Does anyone know how to unroot a Droid X through a PC or how to get the market back?

Notifications for install of new app no longer working

Saturday 31st of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have just upgraded from Nexus 7 2012 to the new 2013 version. Before installing anything I updated it to latest version 4.3 build JSS15Q Initially notifications for newly installed apps was working correctly ie after installing a new app it shows in the notification bar that it's been installed & if you clicked on the notification it used to start the app. I also used to get a seperate notification for each new installation. I haven't changed any settings recently (as far as I'm aware) but instead of launching the app when clicking on the notification it is taking me back to the google play store, it is also grouping new install of app notifications into one. Could I have changed a setting somewhere that I can change back or is this a bug? I had exactly the same thing happen on my old Nexus 7 2012 after that was updated to the latest release of 4.3 approx a week ago.
